Kenya Country Programme
The Kenya Country Programme is a collaboration between the Government and the Danish Embassy. The Government of Denmark has been a key partner supporting PFM Reforms in Kenya. Under the previous Strategy the Government of Denmark (through DANIDA) supported public finance management reforms through a Contribution Agreement entered into by several Development Partners channeling their resources through a pooled basket fund that was administered by the World Bank.
The programme supports the Office of the Auditor General (OAG), Office of the Controller of Budget (OCoB), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), and the National Treasury and Planning. Support to the National Treasury and Planning targets the Accounting Services Department (ASD), IFMIS Department, Internal Audit Department (IAD), Intergovernmental Fiscal Relations Department (IGFRD), Public Procurement Department (PPD), State Department of Planning and the PFMR Secretariat.
The Programme aims to Enhanced revenue collection, Accurate accessible and timely government wide financial information and reports with clear accountability, Accurate, user friendly and timely independent audit reports based on a risk based approach, Strengthened capacity for public procurement and disposal oversight and A functional monitoring and evaluation framework for the PFMR strategy.
